Pulled Pork is a traditional southern dish that is perfect for any tailgate.  This recipe will allow you to make great homemade pork BBQ.

Time Required:  40 minutes prep time, 2-4 hours unsupervised cook time, 30 minutes additional prep time

Skill Required:  Moderate cooking skills needed

Ingredients:

3-5 pounds of boneless pork butt or pork tenderloin.  Butt works best since it has more fat, but tenderloins are fine too.

Olive or vegetable oil

BBQ sauce (you want the vinegar-based sauce, not heavy sauce; click here for a great recipe)

Dry rub consisting of:

1/4 cup cumin

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup paprika

1/4 cup chili powder

1 tbsp red pepper

1/4 cup salt

1/4 cup black pepper

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic

Steps:

Rub the pork with your dry rub

Preheat oven to 325

Heat the olive oil in a skillet or pan large enough to brown the pork

Brown the pork on all sides in the oil

Bake at 325 for 3 to 3 1/2 hours for pork butt, or about 2 hours for pork tenderloins

Remove pork and shred using two forks.  The meat should shred very easily

Add BBQ sauce and serve!!
